Will you get sunburned on my diet?

You can still get sunburned on a carnivore or carnivore esq. diet, but here's why it's far less likely to happen:

1. Seed Oils Are Absent On My DietSeed oils, specifically the linoleic acid in them, are prone to building up in your tissues.

Often, these seed oils have omega 3:6 ratios of up to 1:75 and above. This excess linoleic acid stored in your body oxidizes easier and makes you more prone to sunburn, often referred to as "seed oil burn"

2 Vitamin D Absorbs UVB RadiationVitamin D, which your body makes from cholesterol, absorbs UVB radiation, the type that causes DNA damage and painful sunburns.

Even phytoplankton in the ocean produce vitamin D to protect themselves from UV damage.

3. Higher Cholesterol = Better Vitamin D ProductionSince vitamin D is made from cholesterol, having higher cholesterol means your body has more raw material to work with when you’re in the sun.

People on a carnivore diet tend to have higher cholesterol, which helps them produce more vitamin D.

4. A Nutrient-Dense Diet Strengthens Your SkinA diet packed with animal-based nutrients like vitamin A (retinol), omega-3s, and saturated fats helps build stronger, healthier skin that’s more resistant to burning.

Are Carnivore Dieters Immune to Sunburn?

Nope. You’ll experience far more tanning than burning, though.

Again, I recommend 1-2 hours if you are white per day, ~2-3 if mixed, and even over 4 if dark skinned.

I don't mean 4 hours directly on your face, but a balance among your entire body.

With safe tanning, where you slowly raise your exposure over time, you will experience health benefits and more attractive skin undertones and you will not burn.

Why Sunlight is About More Than Just Vitamin D

UVB rays give you vitamin D, but UVA rays also trigger the release of nitric oxide, which:

Just Live Naturally

The more I learn, the more obvious it becomes: living as close to nature as possible is the key to feeling and looking your best.

Eat natural foods (meat, eggs, seasonal fruits, etc), get regular sun exposure, and avoid unnecessary chemicals. Your body was designed to handle the sun, you just need to remove the toxins that make it harmful.
